Description

So, this was more or less a practice drawing, however I feel very relieved to get it done. I wrote out this long ass description and then DeviantART decided to completely spazz out and delete it just as I was submitting it. sooo I just hope it doesnt happen again, lol

Now, few quick words is I would like to thank all the people who seriously helped me with this pain in the butt project,
:iconsparkaii: :iconmojo1432: :iconzephyr-spellbound: :iconmay-ya: -you guys are all amazing, thank you <3

Im always seeking advice or help so that I may get more improvement, especially this year since Im devoting myself to it quite a bit more. But one of the reasons I love it here on DeviantART so much is how great it is to communicate with artists and really help each other out- which I think is the biggest part of this website. With that, I would love to receive constructive comments or even a critique if possible, ^_^

Again, thank you to everyone who helped me with this, I will be taking several more steps out of my comfort zone in order to do more artwork. Wish me luck!

Also, shout out to :iconi-like-dragons: for having his birthday! Completely random, I know, but COMPLETELY APPROPRIATE

Thanks again!

I think the pose you were looking for turned out wonderfully! The character you've created has a very unique flare and the setting you have her in is lovely. I really really like the texturing and highlights you put into her scales, but I feel the wings are a little lacking next to them. The semitransparent look is nice, but I feel like some skin or leathery texture could still be subtly utilized. The heavy dark outline you are using also kind of disappears on parts of the tail and looks less crisp than your other edges. You also have a mix of colors in your highlights between purple and white. Is the purple reflecting from above and the white/blue from below? But don't get me wrong, different light sources and colors are not a bad thing. The way the spikes on her back sink into the tail fur is also a nice touch!
On the whole, I think it turned out quite nice! I always feel guilty saying "hey this thing looks odd," but I hope this critique helps!
